In May 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Bamboo And Stone by Zhu Sheng. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,337.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Sheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ink Bamboo, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 57,358.61).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboo And Stone von Zhu Sheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.337,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Sheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ink Bamboo beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 57.358,61) versteigert wurde.
