Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bamboo And Rock After Wu Zhen by Zhu Sheng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,371.43). Admittedly, works by Zhu Sheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ink Bamboo in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 57,358.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock After Wu Zhen von Zhu Sheng im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.371,43) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Sheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ink Bamboo im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 57.358,61).
