It achieved a price of HKD 177,000.00 (€ 18,222.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Sheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ink Bamboo, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 57,358.61).

Die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock von Zhu Sheng wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 177.000,00 (€ 18.222,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Sheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ink Bamboo beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 57.358,61) versteigert wurde.
