In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy by Zhou Tianqiu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 90,000.00 (€ 9,039.98), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Tianqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 485,000.00 (€ 358,330.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy von Zhou Tianqiu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 90.000,00 (€ 9.039,98) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Tianqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 485.000,00 (€ 358.330,25).
