Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ode To The Seclude Orchids In Running Script by Zhou Tianqiu was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 76,095.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Tianqiu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 485,000.00 (€ 358,330.25).

Die Arbeit Ode To The Seclude Orchids In Running Script von Zhou Tianqiu kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 76.095,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Tianqiu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 485.000,00 (€ 358.330,25).
