Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Girl Reading Under Plantain by Zhou Sicong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,583.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Sicong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotuses in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 201,787.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl Reading Under Plantain von Zhou Sicong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.583,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Sicong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotuses im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 201.787,71).
