Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhou Sicong achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work A Sewing Lady sold for HKD 45,600.00 (€ 46,566.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Sicong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotuses in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 201,787.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhou Sicong erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit A Sewing Lady für HKD 45.600,00 (€ 46.566,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Sicong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotuses im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 201.787,71).
