Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Slumber in the Moonlight; Sounds in the Canopy; Silhouette behind the Veil & Tears of Longing by Zheng Zaidong. The price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 7,649.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Zaidong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Slumber in the Moonlight; Sounds in the Canopy; Silhouette behind the Veil & Tears of Longing von Zheng Zaidong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 7.649,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Zaidong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
