Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Pondering near the Riverbanks by Zheng Zaidong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 4,965.18). Admittedly, works by Zheng Zaidong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pondering near the Riverbanks von Zheng Zaidong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 4.965,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Zaidong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
