A top price for Zheng Zaidong - as previously expected
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Wave by Zheng Zaidong. The price achieved of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 400,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Wave is the most expensive artwork by Zheng Zaidong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wave von Zheng Zaidong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 250.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Wave das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zheng Zaidong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
