Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain by Zheng Zaidong was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 11,028.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zheng Zaidong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wave, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mountain von Zheng Zaidong wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 11.028,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zheng Zaidong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wave beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21) versteigert wurde.
