Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Inebriety in a Lotus Pond by Zheng Zaidong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 45,600.00 (€ 4,882.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Zaidong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inebriety in a Lotus Pond von Zheng Zaidong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 45.600,00 (€ 4.882,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Zaidong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
