In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Zheng Xiaoxu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,831.77), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Xiaoxu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape And Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 90,000.00 (€ 91,907.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Zheng Xiaoxu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.831,77) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Xiaoxu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape And Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 90.000,00 (€ 91.907,61).
