The work Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Reqular Script by Zheng Xiaoxu was sold in the Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in February this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,355.69), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zheng Xiaoxu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape And Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 90,000.00 (€ 91,907.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Reqular Script von Zheng Xiaoxu wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.355,69) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Xiaoxu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape And Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 90.000,00 (€ 91.907,61).
