This artwork by Zheng Wuchang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Swallows Returning at Sunset sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,323.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Wuchang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes Inspired By Wu Wenying'S Poetry in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 16,375,000.00 (€ 1,871,638.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 93 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zheng Wuchang erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Swallows Returning at Sunset für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.323,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 55.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Wuchang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes Inspired By Wu Wenying'S Poetry im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.375.000,00 (€ 1.871.638,28).
