Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Pine Trees With Cranes And Calligraphy by Zheng Wuchang. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,287.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Wuchang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes Inspired By Wu Wenying'S Poetry in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 16,375,000.00 (€ 1,871,638.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pine Trees With Cranes And Calligraphy von Zheng Wuchang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.287,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Wuchang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes Inspired By Wu Wenying'S Poetry im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.375.000,00 (€ 1.871.638,28).
