Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Zhao Yang was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,537.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Yang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roma is a Lake in April this year with an auction result of HKD 78,000.00 (€ 79,653.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Zhao Yang wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.537,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Yang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roma is a Lake im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 78.000,00 (€ 79.653,26).
