In December 2013 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Forest Of Desire No.3 by Zhao Bo. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 129,800.00 (€ 15,562.06), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhao Bo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frozen Planet No. 2 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Forest Of Desire No.3 von Zhao Bo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 129.800,00 (€ 15.562,06) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Bo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frozen Planet No. 2 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
