Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Screen by Zhang Yexing was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 115,200.00 (€ 13,808.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Yexing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afternoon in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Screen von Zhang Yexing wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 115.200,00 (€ 13.808,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Yexing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afternoon im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
