Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Yexing could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Untitled - Studio I changed hands for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,948.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Yexing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Yexing konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled - Studio I für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.948,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Yexing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afternoon beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61) versteigert wurde.
