This artwork by Zhang Xiong achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction, the work Wild Gooses sold for HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,431.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xiong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Fruits in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 68,274.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Xiong erzielte im April 2019 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I wurde die Arbeit Wild Gooses für HKD 118.000,00 (€ 13.431,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xiong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Fruits im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 68.274,03).
