Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Delicious Fishes by Zhang Xiong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 8,092.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xiong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Fruits in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 68,274.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Delicious Fishes von Zhang Xiong wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 8.092,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xiong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Fruits im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 68.274,03).
