This artwork by Zhang Xiong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Flowers in the style of Yun Shouping sold for USD 12,112.50 (€ 10,919.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xiong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Fruits in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 68,274.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Xiong erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Flowers in the style of Yun Shouping für USD 12.112,50 (€ 10.919,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xiong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Fruits im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 68.274,03).
