Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers by Zhang Xiong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 15,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,754.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers And Fruits in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 68,274.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flowers von Zhang Xiong kam im November 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.754,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers And Fruits im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 68.274,03).
