Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Pair of Ducks by Zhang Xiong for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,149.37). This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers And Fruits in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 68,274.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pair of Ducks von Zhang Xiong für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.149,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers And Fruits im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 68.274,03).
