This artwork by Zhang Xiong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo and Plum Blossom sold for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,370.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers And Fruits in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 68,274.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Xiong erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Bamboo and Plum Blossom für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.370,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers And Fruits im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 68.274,03).
