Auction result misses estimated price range

In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work My Pet by Zhang Wei for HKD 11,340.00 (€ 1,371.09). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Editions at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ac12 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 131,429.99).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit My Pet von Zhang Wei für HKD 11.340,00 (€ 1.371,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Editions bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ac12 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 131.429,99).
