Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection, which included the work Profile Portraits of Unknown Women No. 07 from Artificial Theater, 2012 by Zhang Wei. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,687.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ac12 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 131,429.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profile Portraits of Unknown Women No. 07 from Artificial Theater, 2012 von Zhang Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.687,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ac12 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 131.429,99).
