The work Yu Ji by Zhang Peng was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The auction ended at the price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,101.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Zhang Peng have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2009 the work Gui Fei was auctioned for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66).
