Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Geng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Various Subjects sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,741.62) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Geng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 88,642.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Geng erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Various Subjects für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.741,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Geng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 767.000,00 (€ 88.642,72).
