This artwork by Zhang Geng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,892.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Geng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 767,000.00 (€ 88,642.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Geng erzielte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.892,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Geng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 767.000,00 (€ 88.642,72) versteigert wurde.
