Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Dong Qichang by Zhang Geng was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,236.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Geng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 88,642.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Qichang von Zhang Geng wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.236,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Geng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 767.000,00 (€ 88.642,72).
