Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peach-Blossom Spring by Zhang Geng was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,901.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Geng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 88,642.72).
