Sold at the lower estimate price
In September 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Flowers And Landscapes by Zhang Geng. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,388.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Geng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 88,642.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers And Landscapes von Zhang Geng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.388,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Geng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 767.000,00 (€ 88.642,72).
