Upper estimate price exceeded by 60%
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Zhang Boying. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 80,240 (€ 8,467), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Boying have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000 (€ 48,666).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60% übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Zhang Boying zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 80.240 (€ 8.467) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Boying auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000 (€ 48.666).
