Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Zhang Boying was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 6,250 (€ 5,291) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 5,000 - 7,000. Admittedly, works by Zhang Boying have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000 (€ 48,666).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250 (€ 5.291) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000 – 7.000 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Boying auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000 (€ 48.666).
