Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy In Regular Script by Zhang Boying was worth USD 25,000 (€ 21,949) to a buyer in March 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Boying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 560,000 (€ 48,666).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script von Zhang Boying war einem Käufer im März 2016 USD 25.000 (€ 21.949) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Boying mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 560.000 (€ 48.666) versteigert wurde.
