This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Boying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 560,000 (€ 48,666).
