The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Zhang Boying was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 93,750 (€ 10,318), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Boying have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000 (€ 48,666).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34% übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Zhang Boying wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750 (€ 10.318) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Boying auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000 (€ 48.666).
