Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running Script Calligraphic Couplet by Zeng Guofan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,607.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zeng Guofan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu II in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 228,514.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphic Couplet von Zeng Guofan kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.607,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zeng Guofan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu II im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 228.514,76).
