Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Zeng Guofan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 4,613.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Guofan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu II in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 228,514.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zeng Guofan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 4.613,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Guofan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu II im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 228.514,76).
