Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Script by Zeng Guofan. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 57,375.00 (€ 6,498.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Guofan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu II in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 228,514.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Script von Zeng Guofan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 57.375,00 (€ 6.498,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Guofan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu II im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 228.514,76).
