Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats by Zainul Abedin was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in May 2006. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 18,701.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zainul Abedin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Santhal Women) in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 161,331.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats von Zainul Abedin kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 18.701,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zainul Abedin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Santhal Women) im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 161.331,96).
