Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three Seasons (Phillips, Sotheby's, Christie's) by Yuken Teruya was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,632.55). Admittedly, works by Yuken Teruya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work LVMH (Christian Dior, Hennessy, Pucci, Givenchy, Sephora, Le Bonmarché, Berluti, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Chandon Nappa Valley) in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,677.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Three Seasons (Phillips, Sotheby's, Christie's) von Yuken Teruya im September 2021 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.890,00 (€ 1.632,55) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuken Teruya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit LVMH (Christian Dior, Hennessy, Pucci, Givenchy, Sephora, Le Bonmarché, Berluti, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Chandon Nappa Valley) im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.677,90).
