This artwork by Yuan Kewen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Chinese Paintingsthe online sale auction, the work Three Poems in Running Script sold for HKD 38,125.00 (€ 4,177.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Kewen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yuan Kewen erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintingsthe online sale wurde die Arbeit Three Poems in Running Script für HKD 38.125,00 (€ 4.177,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Kewen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 107.922,19).
