Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy in Running Script by Yuan Kewen. The price achieved of HKD 44,625.00 (€ 4,818.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Kewen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Yuan Kewen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 44.625,00 (€ 4.818,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Kewen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 107.922,19).
