Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Red Tip Photinia by Yuan Jiang. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,638.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Jiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inspecting Food For The Emperor in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 382,000.00 (€ 342,232.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Tip Photinia von Yuan Jiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.638,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Jiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Inspecting Food For The Emperor im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 382.000,00 (€ 342.232,57).
