Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Pavilions amidst Lush Mountains by Yuan Jiang was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 12,185.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Jiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inspecting Food For The Emperor in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 382,000.00 (€ 342,232.57).
