Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mist Gathering Over The Summer Mountains by Yuan Jiang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2000, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 235,000.00 (€ 35,502.00). Admittedly, works by Yuan Jiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Inspecting Food For The Emperor in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 382,000.00 (€ 342,232.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mist Gathering Over The Summer Mountains von Yuan Jiang im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 235.000,00 (€ 35.502,00) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Jiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Inspecting Food For The Emperor im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 382.000,00 (€ 342.232,57).
