The work Flowers in Cloud-Clad Mountains by Yuan Jai was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. The result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,043.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Jai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Dining Table in April this year with an auction result of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 2,695,956.52).

Die Arbeit Flowers in Cloud-Clad Mountains von Yuan Jai wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.043,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Jai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Dining Table im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 2.695.956,52).
