Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yu Zhonglin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Egret By Cove In Spring sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,669.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Zhonglin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Birds By The Waterweeds, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Zhonglin erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Egret By Cove In Spring für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.669,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Zhonglin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Birds By The Waterweeds beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 61.771,75) versteigert wurde.
